Class B CDL Driver / Lumberyard Team Member — Idabel, OK

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class B Truck Driver/Lumber Yard team member to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles across designated routes.

• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.

• Drive in adherence to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while maintaining an excellent driving record.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.

• Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules and communicate any delays or issues promptly.

• Secure freight properly for transport and verify accuracy of shipments against delivery documents.

• Assist with maintenance tasks as needed and report any vehicle repairs or maintenance requirements immediately.

• Assist customers in the lumber yard with excellent customer service

• Help maintain the appearance and organization of the lumber yard

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with delivery driver roles involving freight transportation.

• Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.

• Experience driving various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.

• Knowledge of load securing techniques and cargo handling procedures.

• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight.

• Strong understanding of route planning and navigation for efficient deliveries.

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required
